WSRMP is pleased to offer our member districts for the fourth year the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to Service Alternatives Training Institute RIGHT RESPONSE Workshops. Scholarships are available for individual staff attendance, instructor certification and instructor recertification. To match the training needs of various staff, there are several levels of RIGHT RESPONSE training. See the enclosed workshop descriptions for complete details.
RIGHT RESPONSE Instructor Certification allows your trainer to conduct unlimited workshops for your personnel. No per-person or per-workshop charges apply which makes this the more cost-effective model for on-going training district-wide. Trained ESD staff may conduct workshops for other districts with in their ESD.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - The Pool will not be responsible for release time or any expense compensation for lodging, food or travel. Scholarship winners must be employed by a member district on the dates of the program.

RIGHT RESPONSE WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
Primer:
The first 5 hours is primarily focused on De-escalation Techniques and is great for staff who have limited contact with clients. certification of attendance
Elements:
Maximize Safety with Self-Protection Skills in addition to the Primer (7 hours). 2 year certification
Elements+:
For those who have therapeutic contact with clients, empower them to prevent escalations with Proactive Environments and Positive Behavior Support. Also includes Advanced De-escalation skills (11 hours). 2 year certification
Advanced:
This full, 14 hour certification also includes Escorts and Therapeutic Holds. 1 year certification
Conversion Workshop for certified SECURE instructors:
How do I convert to RIGHT RESPONSE Workshops? You must complete the new License Agreement, each instructor must attend a 4-hour Conversion Workshop, purchase the new workbooks and schedule workshops based on the new training options needed by you attendees.
