Biography

I help schools, hospitals, group homes and agencies of all types deal with their worst behavioral and aggression problems. As an Administrator with the Service Alternatives Training Institute, I provide consultation, risk management and specialized training to empower organizations to maintain safety while increasing educational and therapeutic outcomes.

I am active in the areas of curriculum development, risk management, school security and have helped develop safety intervention legislation.  I provide testimony regarding best practices in the implementation of policy and procedure for the use of crisis management procedures in the educational environment.

I am a professional photographer, graphic designer and web developer. I manage the data collection and analysis systems used by RIGHT RESPONSE. I also produce the electronic and printed learning materials used by the Service Alternatives Training Institute.

I have been employed by Service Alternatives, Inc. since 1995 as a Program Manager, Training Specialist and Administrator. Since 1999, I have supported clients outside of Service Alternatives with their individual training needs.

A native of Chicago, I have held teaching certificates in Alaska and Washington.  I am a former Special Education Teacher and Community Case Manager and have since 1990 specialized in working with children and adults with severe emotional and behavioral disorders.
